Moving for Memory

Seniors and other individuals interested in maintaining and improving brain health move together with music to create meaningful connections and relationships, increase range of motion, and promote executive function. Groups generally consists of 10-20 seniors with and without dementia. Participants may have limited mobility.

Grief Group

Supportive, therapeutic groups for adults experiencing grief and loss. The group offers companionship and understanding while helping to learn how to live with grief. Using dance/movement and other expressive arts, participants learn to express feelings, share stories, build coping skills, and discover new traditions and ideas to keep loved ones present in the heart and memories. The program is designed to help restore a sense of connection to one’s self and surviving family members. Eight week program, length can be adjusted as needed. 

Body Mind Heart

For adults who may have experienced trauma, such as domestic violence or sexual assault, and could benefit from a supportive environment while exploring their feelings, developing support, and sharing as a member of a group. Using dance/movement and other expressive arts, the program is designed to address social and emotional needs. It is based on a variety of therapeutic approaches, theoretical orientations and evidenced-based best practices. Eight week program, may be repeated.

Dance Club

Movement and socialization for adults with developmental disabilities; a therapeutic group filled with movement, music, and opportunities for social interaction. This is a group for people to engage with others while relating through the language of movement, exploring issues relating to others, health and body-image, self-esteem and positive leisure activities.
